Appraisal states: Huáng Quán was liberal and elegant in thought and capacity, Lǐ Huī was publicly bright in will and enterprise, Lǚ Kǎi held to integrity without change, Mǎ Zhōng was agitated yet able to be staunch, (1) Wáng Píng was loyal and brave but strict and orderly, Zhāng Nì was decisive in knowledge and resolute in wisdom, all due to their strengths had prominent reputation and left legacies, because they encountered their timing.
評曰:黃權弘雅思量,李恢公亮志業,呂凱守節不回,馬忠擾而能毅,〔一〕王平忠勇而嚴整,張嶷識斷明果,咸以所長,顯名發跡,遇其時也。
- (1) Shàngshū states: Agitated yet staunch. Zhèng Xuán annotates: Agitate means docile. To reach resolution is called staunch.
